One of the advantages to recovering a piece of furniture is the wonderful wealth of beautiful fabrics that are available. As there is not much locally on offer, I use a variety of sources to track down just the right fabric for your project.

I can supply fabrics from various interiors fashion houses including:-

Romo

Villa Nova

Kirkby Design

Mark Alexander

Black Edition

Zinc

Manuel Canovas

Jane Churchill

Colefax and Fowler

Larsen

Sanderson

Scion

Anthology

Zoffany

Morris & Co.

Harlequin

But there are also some fantastic on line sources for fabric. Some of the ones I or my clients have ordered from are:-

Tinsmiths

Based in the UK they have a lovely range of fabrics mostly cottons and linens, plain and printed. They have  a great selection of good quality tickings. Some of their fabrics come in double width which is always good for those larger 2 or 3-seater sofas or wide windows. And they have some stunning folky prints by painter/printmaker Mark Herald.

Yorkshire Fabric Shop

Based as they say in Yorkshire, they have a constantly changing range of upholstery fabrics. They frequently buy rolls of end of line runs from Italian interiors fabric companies and often have some really lovely  things in stock for limited time. They are one of the places I have sourced fabric for office furniture and for recovering car seats.

An online suppliers and a useful place to explore for those hard to find fabrics for a particular project, again with a selection of car upholstery fabrics etc. They stock a vast range of textiles for all purposes.

I will continue to add more suppliers as time goes on…
